Harshal Races to Historic 150-Scalp Mark. An IPL record!

Harshal Patel reached a landmark moment in his career on Monday, becoming the quickest bowler ever to reach 150 wickets based on deliveries bowled.

The milestone came in Sunrisers Hyderabad’s face-off against Lucknow, when Harshal clean-bowled Aiden Markram with a well-disguised dipping ball in the 16th over — his first breakthrough of the night.

This dismissal took Harshal to 150 wickets off just 2381 balls across all IPL seasons, breaking the previous best held by Sri Lanka’s Lasith Malinga, who took 2444 deliveries to reach the same tally. Others in the top five include Yuzvendra Chahal (2543 balls), Dwayne Bravo (2656), and Jasprit Bumrah (2832). Harshal also became the second-fastest to the mark in terms of appearances, getting there in 117 games — only Malinga reached it quicker, in 105.
