Narayana Nagarabhavi Investiture Ceremony Celebrates Young Leaders, Guided by Wisdom and Valor
Col. Venkatesh Naik (Retd.) and Principal Manjula R inspire students to lead with values, vision, and a sense of national responsibility
Bengaluru | July 14:
The spirit of leadership, integrity, and youthful aspiration soared high at Narayana E Techno and Olympiad School, Nagarabhavi, as the school hosted its grand Investiture Ceremony 2025-26 to induct the newly elected student cabinet.
The event was a vibrant testament to the school’s commitment to nurturing the leaders of tomorrow — in classrooms, on cultural platforms, and in conduct.
The driving force behind the ceremony was Principal Manjula R, whose vision and dedication laid the foundation for an event that not only celebrated student democracy but also instilled a deep sense of responsibility among the young minds.
“There is a leader in every child,” she said in her inspiring address.
“Some shine through academics, some through extracurricular pursuits, and others through exemplary conduct and kindness. It is the school’s responsibility to recognise, nurture and channel these qualities. The student council is our platform to groom future nation-builders.”
Manjula Ma’am emphasized that the purpose of the investiture was not just to distribute badges, but to ignite excellence in academics, cultural dynamism, and leadership spirit.
She reminded students that leadership is not about position, but about responsibility — and it begins the moment one decides to take charge of their actions, choices, and contributions.
“Leadership is not a destiny, it’s a journey — one that begins with responsibility, grows with values, and thrives on action," she said.
Adding gravitas to the occasion was Col. Venkatesh Naik (Retd.), decorated war veteran and defence expert, who graced the ceremony as the chief guest.
With a distinguished career spanning operations in Sri Lanka, Kashmir, and India’s Northeast, and having served alongside India’s top defence leaders and dignitaries, Col. Naik brought a rare blend of battlefield experience and moral insight to the stage.
He shared stirring stories from his military service, including his interactions with Field Marshals, former Prime Ministers, and global military strategies — but most importantly, he spoke about the power of moral courage.
Recalling a real-life incident involving Nobel Laureate and eminent physicist, Prof. C.V. Raman and a student’s integrity, he said, “In this era of information overload, the real challenge is to distinguish truth from illusion. Moral strength is your greatest weapon.”
He also reminded students that education without values is incomplete, and that learning must translate into action.
“True leadership,” he said, “is about leading by example — not just knowing the way, but going the way and showing the way.”
Col. Naik’s reflection on global events like Operation Sindoor and the Iran-Israel conflict offered students a unique perspective on world affairs and the critical role of integrity, strategy, and intelligence in shaping history.
The ceremony was marked by the solemn oath-taking of the student leaders, flag-bearing marches, and the proud applause of parents and teachers alike.
With badges pinned and hearts brimming with purpose, the young leaders stood poised to embrace their roles — not just as class representatives, but as ambassadors of change, discipline, and innovation.
As the ceremony concluded, the message was loud and clear:
Leadership begins now. And the future is in capable hands.
The Investiture Ceremony included the solemn oath-taking of newly elected school leaders, who were inducted into various roles and responsibilities across the student council.
While Mr. Pradeep Kumar B, AGM (KNZ-5), graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour, the event was also attended by Mr. Swaroop, RI; Mr. Vijay Kumar D, Academic Dean; Mr. Govindraj, Vice Principal ; Ms. Veena N, Vice Principal – E-Champs; and Ms. Deepika B.J., Vice Principal – E-Kidz, along with the entire teaching and support staff of the school.
