Vodafone Idea Launches 5G Services in Bengaluru, Promises Seamless Connectivity
Walgo Infra teams up with Vodafone to roll out high-speed 5G network across Bengaluru; aims for full-state coverage soon

Bringing cheer to lakhs of mobile users, Vodafone Idea has officially launched its 5G network in Bengaluru, marking a major step toward seamless high-speed connectivity in Karnataka’s capital.
The launch event, held at the Vodafone Idea Head Office at Maruthi Infotech Centre in Domlur, was led by Walgo Infra CEO and Managing Director Sridhar Rao, along with Vodafone Karnataka Business Head Anand Dani, Director (Operations) Rohit Tandon, Network Planning & Strategy Head Rajesh Singh, and Hub Technology Head Aruna Pidikiti. The team jointly unveiled the 5G logo, symbolizing the arrival of the next-generation network.
Speaking at the event, Sridhar Rao said, “Bengaluru is the Silicon Valley of India, a city that thrives on technology and innovation. Our goal as Vodafone’s network partner is to ensure uninterrupted, ultra-fast connectivity—even in the comfort of your living room.”
Rao added that Walgo Infra has already launched successful 5G networks in cities like Mumbai, New Delhi, Patna, and Chandigarh.
“Bengaluru was a natural next step. We’re now focused on expanding 5G services across all districts in Karnataka. The rollout in other cities was smooth, and we expect similar momentum here,” he said.
With this launch, Vodafone Idea becomes the latest telecom operator to strengthen its 5G footprint in Karnataka. The new network promises faster download speeds, lower latency, and better coverage—benefiting everything from video streaming and gaming to remote work and IoT applications.
The company also hinted at upcoming collaborations with smart city initiatives and enterprise-level tech adoption to fully harness 5G’s potential.
