GAME and NITI Aayog Join Forces to Ignite Grassroots Entrepreneurship Across India

The Global Alliance for Mass Entrepreneurship (GAME) and NITI Aayog have embarked on a strategic partnership to catalyse local entrepreneurship ecosystems in India, starting with pilot interventions in Nagpur, Visakhapatnam, and Uttar Pradesh. This collaboration aims to create robust, self-sustaining entrepreneurial environments that foster economic growth and generate employment at scale.

The initiative is built on a place-based approach, recognising that local challenges require local solutions. By bringing together key regional stakeholders - including government bodies, corporates, educational and financial institutions, community organisations, and experienced entrepreneurs - the partnership seeks to develop customised strategies tailored to the needs of each region.

GAME’s model focuses on holistic support for entrepreneurs, including improved access to finance, market linkages, skill development, and policy support. These efforts are designed to empower individuals to launch and scale businesses within their communities, contributing to both local and national development.

The partnership will adopt a bottom-up strategy that places local entrepreneurs at the centre of the ecosystem. By understanding their unique needs and challenges, the program aims to design impactful interventions that lead to sustainable business growth.

GAME, since its inception in 2018, has supported over 300,000 entrepreneurs across India through various initiatives. Its experience in promoting women-led enterprises, MSME development, and rural entrepreneurship makes it a critical player in this new phase of grassroots economic transformation.

This alliance is expected to pave the way for a nationwide movement in mass entrepreneurship, unlocking potential and driving inclusive progress across diverse regions of India.
